Free Fire India Rank and Honor Score: Missing Tiers, AFK Rules, Regional Boards
Garena support docs on missing rank tiers, Honor Score rules, the 2021 CS AFK rule and regional weapon leaderboards, plus why MAX/FFI parity cannot be inferred.
This page handles three groups of ranked questions: why a tier is not displayed in time, what is going on when Honor Score points are deducted, and whether the regional weapon leaderboard can be changed. Every statement comes from Garena global customer service documentation and is therefore Global reference, not Indian-server testing. The page keeps “historical rules” and “current rules” separate: the 2021 CS AFK document and the later honor system are not the same thing, and explaining them together sets the wrong expectation. Anything unverified for the Indian server is marked “Unverified”.
Why is my rank tier not displayed in time?
The global official Rank Issues article (2026-01-14) explains four kinds of causes: a new-season reset, server sync, leaderboard population limits, and account penalties. The article also notes that Grandmaster slots vary by region, so a fixed threshold valid for every region cannot be set — any claim such as “you need X points to reach Grandmaster” lacks support.
The suggested handling order runs from cheapest to most expensive:
- First confirm that you are looking at the current season and the current server.
- Then check whether the client needs a refresh or a re-login.
- Wait for the server sync, and do not keep pushing points inside the sync window.
- Only after all of the above is ruled out, go through customer service.
Evidence level: Global reference — The article comes from global customer service, not Indian-server testing; the Indian server’s tier chain and slot counts follow the client and that season’s notes.
One more caution: the low-tier display example that appears in that article should not be copied directly as FFI’s exact tier chain. Tier name hierarchies may differ by version and region, and treating an example as the standard leaves readers unable to match their own interface.
What are the Honor Score rules now?
The global customer service Honor Score System document (2025-04-16) states: the full score is 100; system-confirmed AFK, force-quitting and abusive language deduct points; a good match restores 1 point, with a daily recovery cap of 5 points. Low-score restrictions widen with the band and may ban Clash Squad (CS) ranked, Battle Royale (BR) squad ranked and other ranked modes; below 60 may also restrict teaming up. The article also describes details such as a three-day settlement, but those belong to that source version.
| Item | Global support doc wording | Needs verification for India |
|---|---|---|
| Full score | 100 | Whether it is the same |
| Deduction causes | System-confirmed AFK, force-quit, abusive language | Specific judgment conditions and the appeal entry point |
| Recovery | +1 per good match | Whether it is also counted per match |
| Daily recovery cap | 5 points | Whether the cap is the same |
| Low-score impact | Widens with the band; may ban CS ranked and BR squad ranked | Band divisions and the order of restrictions |
| Team restriction | Below 60 may restrict teaming up | Whether the threshold is the same |
| Settlement cycle | The article describes a three-day settlement | Whether it is the same |
Evidence level: Unverified — Whether the Indian server’s FAIRGAME interface uses the same score set, recovery cap and thresholds must be checked in the client; this page gives no precise conclusion such as “how many points deducted gets you banned”.
This table is for comparison, not for application. When your own Honor Score does not match the document numbers, suspect a version difference first, and your own reading of the rules second.
What was the historical CS AFK rule?
The global CS Rank AFK document (2021-12-06) records: disconnecting or being inactive for more than 120 seconds can be judged, may record the match as a loss and increase the AFK count; a cumulative 8 times restricts CS ranked; CS matches without AFK can reduce the count.
Evidence level: Historical version — A 2021 document, valid for its date, possibly since replaced or merged into the honor system.
This is exactly why “historical rules” and “current rules” must be kept apart: using the 2021 threshold of 8 to explain today’s Honor Score makes people think “you are only punished after 8 AFKs”, while the current document describes a continuous point-deduction system. The two sets of rules do not even share a counting unit, so they cannot be spliced.
There is only one actionable judgment: follow the prompts and deduction explanations currently shown in the client, and use historical documents only to show “this kind of penalty existed, and which direction it took”.
Can the regional weapon leaderboard be changed?
The official explanation (2023-09-29) says: the major region and region are determined by IP, only the subdivision can be selected in the interface, and a change takes effect the following Monday.
There is one boundary that must be stated clearly: it refers to the leaderboard region, not an account server migration. Treating it as a “server transfer tutorial” is wrong — when the leaderboard region changes, the server the account sits on, its progress and its matchmaking do not follow. Any server-transfer service sold on “changing the leaderboard region” is unrelated to the feature that document describes.
Evidence level: Global reference — The explanation comes from global customer service; whether the Indian server offers the same entry point is unverified.
Can global, MAX and FFI interoperate?
The global official site describes MAX as an experience with higher graphics and effects, and introduces Firelink. Those statements are about global Free Fire and MAX, and are not enough to prove account, payment or progress interoperability for the new standalone FFI app.
Evidence level: Unverified — Account inheritance, Diamond and skin ownership between FFI and the global version/MAX have no Indian official source in this round; do not treat the global account notes as FFI’s inheritance policy.
Practical advice: before starting over in the Indian version, check the Indian official FAQ and terms rather than the global migration flow. Account-system differences belong to India server basics, and long-term mechanic changes can be compared in Mechanics evolution.
What should I do first when points are deducted or a tier looks wrong?
- Record the scene: time, mode, server, version number, and screenshots of the tier and Honor Score at that moment.
- Confirm the season: whether a season just rolled over and whether you are inside a settlement window.
- Rule out display-layer problems: check the network and client updates; for error prompts see Error code troubleshooting.
- Use official channels: submit through the support page and keep the screenshots and timestamps.
At the same time avoid three traps: services claiming to “boost your Honor Score”, “customer service” agents asking for your account password or OTP, and third parties promising to “restore your tier”. No such mechanism exists in official documentation, and handing over credentials is a risk in itself. The general account-security and appeal flow is in Account and troubleshooting FAQ.
Are ranked and esports the same thing?
No. Ranked is the in-game matchmaking system; esports are competitions organised outside the game, and their eligibility, formats and progression rules are completely different. For the stages, teams and results of competitions, read the official esports announcements, see India esports archive; this page only covers in-client tiers and Honor Score, and does not deal with entry eligibility or esports points.

Unverified items:
- Whether the Indian server uses the name Honor Score, whether the full score and recovery cap are also 100 and 5, and how the low-score bands are divided have not been checked in the FFI client and are all marked “Unverified”.
- The Indian server’s tier chain names, Grandmaster slots and settlement times have no first-party source in this round, so no specific values are given.
- Whether the 2021 CS AFK rule still applies, or has been replaced by the honor system, is unknown; this page offers it only as historical explanation.
- Whether the regional weapon leaderboard feature exists on the Indian server and whether a subdivision option exists are unverified.
- The account, payment and progress interoperability between FFI and the global version/MAX needs separate confirmation from Indian official sources; this page does not speculate.
- This page provides no conversion of “how many points deducted leads to a ban”, and no method for boosting, restoring or bypassing a penalty.
