Free Fire India pets: skill directory, reworks and fields to capture

22 pet and skill names from Garena global pet pages, why Falco was reworked, what Rockie cooldown reduction does not cover, and the fields a pet entry needs.

In Free Fire a pet is an equipment slot, not a cosmetic: it provides one equippable skill. Secondhand material often only says “this pet is strong” or copies old values directly, so the same skill ends up described as two different things across versions. This page collects what the official pet detail pages state outright, marks which descriptions are current and which are historical, and explains what the standalone India version still needs to be checked for in the client.

How much of the pet system can be confirmed right now?

The global official pet catalog shows names such as Kactus, Fang, Hoot, Finn, Zasil, Arvon, Flash, Yeti, Agent Hop, Sensei Tig, Dr. Beanie and Moony, and the page also has a “load more”. A name only proves it appeared in the catalog; it does not prove every one of them is usable in the India version, and it does not prove the catalog currently shows the complete list.

Evidence level: Global reference — From the official Free Fire global catalog and detail pages; this cannot be taken directly as an India-server fact.

One more general limit: official blurbs usually only say “what it does”, not “by how much”. Level values, duration and trigger interval have no stable wording on most pages, so this page quotes no numbers and does not fill them in from common sense.

Which names are actually in the pet directory?

The table below is drawn from the individual official detail pages and only summarises the effects those pages directly support; it does not copy values that may conflict. Falco and Rockie are included too, for comparison.

Pet Official skill name Effect as stated on the page (no values)
Kactus Self-Sufficient Restores EP after the owner stays still for a while; moving or jumping stops the recovery
Hoot Far-sighted Increases the range and duration of scan-type items and skills; the page says there is no skill cooldown
Agent Hop Bouncing Bonus Grants EP each time the Safe Zone shrinks
Arvon Dinoculars Detects how many enemies are in an area, regardless of where the enemies are positioned
Moony Paranormal Protection Provides protection during an interaction countdown
Fang Wolf Pact Grants EP or HP when a teammate is knocked down by an enemy
Finn Dash Splash Grants the owner and teammates a movement speed boost when nearby players are knocked down or eliminated
Zasil Extra Luck Has a chance to grant an extra Inhaler, Medkit or Repair Kit when one is used
Yeti Frost Fortress Reduces explosive damage taken
Sensei Tig Nimble Ninja Shortens how long enemy marking skills last on the owner
Dr. Beanie Dashy Duckwalk Increases movement speed while walking in the duck walk the page describes
Flash Steel Shell Reduces FF Knife and bullet damage taken from behind
Ottero Double Blubber When a Treatment Pistol or Medkit is used, the player being healed also recovers EP
Spirit Fox Well Fed Restores extra health when a Medkit is used
Robo Wall Enforcement Adds a shield to Gloo Walls
Mr. Waggor Smooth Gloo Generates a Gloo Wall when the owner is short of them; trigger conditions and interval follow the current client
Shiba Mushroom Sense Finds nearby mushrooms and marks them on the minimap
Beaston Helping Hand Improves the throwing ability of projectiles; the page lists no specific value or range
Dreki Dragon Glare Exposes opponents healing behind walls
Night Panther Weight Training Increases the backpack space the owner can carry
Falco Skyline Spree The current English page describes it as disabling enemy auto-aim while the owner drops
Rockie Stay Chill Shortens the cooldown of the owner’s active skill

Boundary note: the Detective Panda page does give a skill name, Panda’s Blessing, but the current official blurb does not explain the mechanic, so this page does not guess at its effect. The catalog can keep loading, so these 22 are not a complete roster — only the batch with a separate, readable detail page.

Two skills you can check word for word: Falco and Rockie

Falco deserves its own section because it exposes the most common source error. The current English page describes Skyline Spree as disabling enemy auto-aim while the owner drops; the old page described the same skill as increasing landing speed. Those two are not two translations of one piece of information, they are features from different versions.

Rockie’s Stay Chill is comparatively stable: it shortens the cooldown of the owner’s active skill. But the page blurb is not enough to support a value that applies across all versions, so any guide that hard-codes “reduces it by X seconds” should be checked for which version it is tagged to.

Evidence level: Global reference — Both come from global pet detail pages and were not tested on the India server.

Why does one skill have two descriptions?

The 2023 global patch explicitly records the Falco rework. So the gap between the old material and the current description is not “someone wrote it wrong” — the version changed. The correct encyclopaedic move is to keep the change history, not to attach old values to the newest build, and not to merge the two versions into one sentence saying it “both speeds up the landing and blocks auto-aim”.

Character skills have the same problem: the official site may keep an old description alongside a later patch. To follow that thread systematically, compare the character skill master table and skill system and combination evolution.

Evidence level: Historical version — The Falco rework is a 2023 patch record and may have been adjusted again since.

Which fields should a pet entry capture?

To judge whether a piece of pet material is usable, check whether it has these fields:

  • Official name and aliases (including different translations that may appear on regional pages)
  • Skill name, and whether it is active or passive
  • Effect and trigger condition (standing still, zone shrinking, teammate knocked down, and so on)
  • Level and values, with the version those values belong to
  • Applicable modes (BR, CS or a specific mode)
  • How it is unlocked
  • Record of version changes
  • India-version verification status (unverified / confirmed in the client)
  • Source links and screenshot date

One thing to check specifically: whether “pet appearance” and “whether the pet skill is equipped” are two separate settings. Inferring a skill’s effect from appearance alone is the most common source of error in this kind of material.

Where do pets end and guilds or Dynamic Duo begin?

Pets often get folded into a “social system guide”, but the three are different layers: a pet is an equipment slot, a guild is an organisation, and Dynamic Duo is a relationship between players. Writing all three as one makes readers think raising a pet can raise a guild’s level.

The 2023 global patch recorded changes to guild activity, dynamic levels, the token shop, guild news and guild battles; the guild battle season example there runs from 2023-11-11 to 2024-01-20 and has already ended. That kind of schedule cannot be reused as a 2026 sign-up reminder.

The official Dynamic Duo help page (2021-12-07) describes forming a relationship with a friend, building intimacy, unlocking badges and anniversary rewards; an invitation requires a Golden Vow, removing the friend may end the relationship outright, and after that intimacy resets and items are not returned.

Evidence level: Historical version — The guild battle season and the Dynamic Duo rules are records from 2021–2024 respectively; current cost, waiting time and India-version availability cannot be carried over.

How do you tell whether a pet is usable in FFI?

Three steps are enough: first confirm the pet exists in the pet list in the FFI client, then read the skill and level notes on its detail page, and finally run one comparison test in the same mode (one match with the pet, one without, comparing the same situation). For the base environment and download issues see India server basics; if the three steps contradict each other, log it the way Conflict and gap log does rather than picking whichever answer looks nicer for the article.

Sources and limitations

  • Pet catalog and the Kactus EP recovery description: global pet catalog
  • Falco (Skyline Spree) and the difference from the old description: Falco detail page
  • Rockie (Stay Chill): Rockie detail page
  • Falco rework and guild adjustments: 2023 global patch
  • Dynamic Duo relationship rules: official help page
  • Skill names and effects for the other 20 pets: the individual Garena official pet detail pages for Kactus, Hoot, Agent Hop, Arvon, Moony, Fang, Finn, Zasil, Yeti, Sensei Tig, Dr. Beanie, Flash, Ottero, Spirit Fox, Robo, Mr. Waggor, Shiba, Beaston, Dreki and Night Panther (URLs of the form ff.garena.com/en/pets/ plus a numeric ID; some are Pakistan or Indonesia regional pages).

Not verified:

  • The pet availability list, unlock paths and whether they are paid in the standalone India version; this page has no first-hand source for them.
  • Specific values, level tiers, duration and cooldown for every skill: the official blurbs do not give them, so they are not written.
  • Whether “pet appearance” and “pet skill” are separate settings needs confirming in the FFI client.
  • Detective Panda’s skill mechanic, and the pets in the catalog that have not been expanded, are both unconfirmed.
  • This page states no price, probability or reward value.
